Selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 4th round (their 5th pick, No. 144 overall) of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft...signed by Danny Watkins...is the all-time Southeastern Louisiana University (Hammond, La.) saves leader with 14, and tied the single-season record with eight saves as a senior in 2007...went 2-3 with a 4.29 ERA (24 ER, 50 1/3 IP) and 41 strikeouts in 24 appearances overall as a senior...went 4-7 with five saves and a 4.37 ERA (34 ER, 70.0 IP) in 22 games (seven starts) as a junior in 2006.
